The Thankful Pie Project delivered 70 + slices of pie to various older church congregation members who might be alone for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had six generous pie bakers, two pie cutter/packagers, and two decorator/baggers. Then nine church volunteers delivered the festive packages and made doorstep visits on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving to tell folks “We are thankful for you!”, wish them a Happy Thanksgiving and give them a surprise treat.
