Tomorrow night (1/17), we will gather for our first public bean supper of
2026 (serving at 5 pm). Bring your family and friends! The Park Avenue
Pickers begin serenading at about 4:30 pm.
This Sunday is Human Relations Day. The Worship Guide will include an
envelope for any who wish to contribute to the connectional offering which
supports peace efforts in communities throughout the world. The church
office will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Naomi Circle, which meets on Tuesday at 2 pm, will, if I am not mistaken,
be holding its annual auction. I close with a ‘thought for the day’ from an
anonymous author: “I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought
my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother, and I found all three.”
