Weekly Greeting for Saturday, April 25 – Jesus as Shepherd, Mechuwana Sunday!

Good morning parish,

I just returned from the Scout breakfast served this morning. Delicious and
served with hospitality! I hope you enjoy this beautiful spring day,
replete with Easter hope and miracle. At worship services tomorrow, we will
honor the trust we place in Jesus as shepherd, guide and Savior. It is also
Mechuwana Sunday, with witness to the faith-grown benefits of camping
ministry and adventure. Thanks to generous, designated gifts of donors, we
are able to fund Mechuwana camperships at a 90% level for all who wish to
attend programs and camps offered. Thank you for your generosity which
makes this possible for so many youth in the greater L/A area! Feel free to
wear a Mechuwana shirt to worship services in the morning (why not be
comfortable?)

On Wednesday, April 29th, 4 pm (calling hours 2-4 pm) at Fortin Funeral
Home in Auburn, we will gather to celebrate the life of UMCA member

a graveside service will be held on Friday (May 1st) at 1 pm, North Auburn
Cemetery on Skillings Corner Road. On Saturday, May 2nd, we will hold our
monthly men’s fellowship breakfast at UMCA, 7:30 am.

Next Sunday evening (Pleasant Street UMC, Waterville, ME, 61 Pleasant

necessary for the catered supper.
