Good afternoon Parish,
Sir Harry Lauder, Scottish songster, recorded a song with the lyric, “I could tell where the lamplighter was by the trail he left behind him.” As we celebrate All Saints Sunday together, we remember those in the past year who have joined the Church Triumphant and shared their faith-light with us. We will also honor veterans among us who have served our nation with honor. Our Sunday services (8:30 am ‘in person’ and zoom & 10 am ‘in person’ & live-stream) will also include the sacrament of communion, so please have bread and juice ready if you will be joining us from remote location. The Handbell choir will offer our prelude. After 10 am worship, we invite you to join us for Parking Lot Fellowship with apple cider & donuts (Do-nut forget your church loves you!) I have attached copies of our worship guide, a Missions Update, and copy of last week’s message to the weekly greeting email.
From 1 to 2 pm, there is a calling hour at UMCA in loving memory of Lois Beechum, with Celebration of Life service (in person & live-stream) at 2 pm. I am grateful to Barbara Jamrog, Jan Wilkinson and others who are catering a reception following the service. I hope you will join us for our “Fall Festival Revisited” Fair on Saturday, November 20th, 9 am to 1 pm.
May the love and joy of Jesus be with you!
