Weekly Greeting: Nov 27

Good morning parish!

Grace and gratitude for you this thanksgiving weekend! At worship services tomorrow (8:30 am in person/zoom & 10 am in person/live-stream), we will enter the liturgical season of Advent together. Even as we anticipate Christ’s second coming to earth, we return to a prophetic place of expectation, recalling the promises of a Savior who will deliver a world from bondage and sin. The seed of Christmas miracle is planted in the fertile ground of hope, anticipating God’s action in a hurting world. We will be gathering the connectional offering for UM Student Day tomorrow. The Worship Guide & Missions Opportunities Update are attached.

THANK YOU for your generous donations to the Thanksgiving Basket program. 54 families were assisted through your compassion! The Giving Tree is in the Fellowship Hall for all who wish to provide for a child this Christmas ($50 gift card/Walmart and stocking stuffers, although any contribution is welcome). The Missions Opportunity Update (attached) lists other ways we can assist others in need. The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will gather on Saturday, December 4th, 7:30 am, but will also be offered via zoom for those who wish to attend virtually. This greeting is brief, so I may be off to help with decorating the church for Advent.
