I am grateful to Rev. Rich Cullen for filling in for me last Sunday. This
coming Sunday is Palm/Passion Sunday, beginning with Jesus’ entrance to
Jerusalem and then shifting to follow some of the events leading to Good
Friday, particularly focused on betrayal and the healing which is
available. Throughout the week (M-F, 7 am to 12n, UMCA sanctuary), I invite
you to journey through the stations of the cross. The journey begins at the
Gethsemane Window and traces the periphery of the sanctuary with graphics,
readings and prayers to guide the pilgrim along the road to Calvary.
Maundy Thursday communion service is on 4/17, 6:30 pm at UMC of Auburn
(High Street Congregational will be joining us). Good Friday services are
at 12 n (UMCA) and 6 pm at High Street Congregational Church (we will be
joining them). Easter SonRise service will be at 5:45 am on 4/20 at 775 N.
River Road, Auburn. There is also an Easter breakfast scheduled for that
day (8 to 9:30 am, UMCA). If you wish to attend the breakfast, please sign
your name on the participation sheet on the missions table as you enter the
sanctuary. The Youth Group will offer an Easter Egg Hunt for the children
of church school on Easter.
This Saturday (4/12, 5 pm, UMCA), we will hold our April Public Supper with
the music of the Park Avenue Pickers calling us to friendship and
fellowship.
