God’s grace be with you! I’m sending this greeting a bit earlier this week
to update details regarding Holy Week observance. Tonight (Maundy
Thursday), I invite you to our Maundy Thursday Communion Service (6:30 pm
at UMC of Auburn with High Street Congregational Church joining us). Also,
a self-guided journey of the Stations of the Cross begins at the Gethsemane
Window and continues in the sanctuary for eight stations (Thursday and
Friday, 7 am to 12 n, UMCA).
Good Friday services include: 12 n service at UMCA and 6 pm Seven Last
Words evening service at High Street Congregational Church. Please note the
6 pm time which is different from what was published elsewhere.
Easter SonRise Service, 5:45 am at 775 N. River Road, Auburn (Keene
Residence) will be followed with a brief fellowship time with hot cross
buns. Easter breakfast (benefits Heifer Project) will be served at UMCA
from 8 am to 9:30 am. Easter Resurrection services will be held as normally
scheduled, 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Growing Deeper will not meet this week.
The Youth Group will offer an Easter Egg Hunt for the church school
children during that time as well.
Thank you again for your cards, prayers, meals and gestures of support for
my wife and me. She will be coming home on Saturday. I am especially
grateful to Carrol Akers who constructed accessible stairs for the
parsonage entrance from the garage. Bless you!
On Saturday, April 26th (8-10 am, UMCA), the scouts will offer a public
breakfast to which you are invited. Also, please be sure to sign up for a
picture-taking session for our 2025 Pictorial Directory. Sign-up sheets
will be available on Sunday.
