August days of renewal be with you! Our men’s fellowship breakfast group
will be gathering at the lakeside home of the Worden’s tomorrow morning
(August 2nd, 16 Paradise Lane, Oxford). We are grateful for their annual
hospitality! I will be at the UMCA parking lot tomorrow morning at 7:30 am
to arrange carpooling to the gathering. This is open to all men of the
parish and guests.
On Sunday, we will share the sacrament of communion and have opportunity to
light a memorial candle for beloved member Thelma Quimby (and Pat
Robichaud’s beloved daughter Carrie Dulac). We are grateful for their lives
and commend them to God’s care.
Next Saturday, there will be an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at our church
for Jacobi Sutton. We celebrate his work and this milestone in his journey!
Also, for any who wish to attend, there will be an introduction to the
denomination’s new Social Principles at Highland Ave. UMC, Gardiner, ME on
Saturday, August 16th (9 am to 3:30 pm).
