Weekly Greeting for December 18, 2025 – A Pageant, a Concert, Gratitude, and Christmas!

Good afternoon parish!

This afternoon (Saturday, 12/20) at 4 pm, we will gather for our annual
Mitch Thomas & Friends Christmas Concert. I hope you can join us!

Tomorrow (Sunday 12/21), our church school will present its annual
Christmas Pageant at the 10:30 am service. It is the last Sunday of Advent
and the theme focus will center on Joseph’s role in the Christmas stories.

I am grateful to all who stepped up to care for deliveries to clients who
have been unable to go to the Congregational Church to pick up needed
groceries from the High Street Food Cupboard. You know who you are. Thank
you!

I also want to thank Dianne O’Conner and Jan Wilkinson for their work on
both the Thanksgiving Basket project and the Christmas Giving Tree projects
this year. Because of their leadership and your generosity, many will have
a happier Christmas celebration. Bless you!

Christmas Eve Candlelight services on Wednesday, 12/24, include: Family
Musical Service at 5 pm and traditional Lesson & Carols service at 9 pm.
Homemade cookies will be available for take-home thanks to the hospitality
of the NOW Committee. If you wish to be a reader for the 9 pm service,
there will be a sign-up sheet distributed at services tomorrow. The church
office will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Christmas.

May your Christmas celebration be blessed, healthy and joyful,

Pastor Steve Bascom
